Delete your InstaFact account

You can ask us to delete your InstaFact account and the data attached to it at any time. You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to sign in.

1. What gets deleted

What we keep, and why:

Verdicts already shown in the public Explore feed stay published, but they are no longer connected to you or to your account in any way.
Server logs age out on their normal 180-day cycle. They are not linked to your profile once the account is gone.
Records we are required by law to retain, kept only for as long as the law requires.

2. How long it takes

Your request is acknowledged immediately, and the deletion is completed within 7 working days. Your session ends as soon as you ask, so the account cannot be used while it is waiting to be removed.

A request made from this page is verified before we act on it. An account is identified only by a phone number, so we contact you on that number to confirm the request is genuinely yours — without that step, anyone who knew your number could delete your account. Deleting from inside the app needs no such call: you are already signed in, which is proof enough.

3. Make the request

Fill this in and it will prepare the request for you to send. Nothing is transmitted from this page — pressing the button opens your email app with the details filled in, so you stay in control of what is sent.

Your email app should have opened. If it did not, copy the text below and send it to connect@instafact.co from any email address.

You can also simply email connect@instafact.co with the subject “Account deletion request” and the phone number on the account. The form above is only a convenience.

4. Deleting from the app

You can delete your account from inside the app: Profile → Delete account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm, and signed out once the request is in. This is the quickest route, because being signed in already proves the account is yours.

This page remains available for anyone who no longer has the app installed, or who cannot sign in.
